this week has been a little different than the rest. we were hardly able to teach really because either people werent ever home... apparently, or we were at the doctor for my comp. they have been doing a ton tests over and over to see what parisites he has or whatever. but really its just cause the people who needed to bring the paper work didnt show so we had to do things over and over again. so we have been in the center a lot this week for that purpose.
i went on divisions again this week. which was fun. its really not as desirable as staying in my own area, but it is cool to see how other people teach and to meet new people. also it was with a latino companion so i was forced to use more spanish than usual, which can only help me learn the language more quickly.
speaking of spanish... it is really hard to learn a new language! good golly. i feel like it never seems to get any easier. but at the same time, it really hasnt been that long and i could survive here now. i can talk about a lot of things, but ive got a good enough understanding to function in most basic situations. and i can teach most things relating to the gospel. and just yesterday i was told by several that they can tell my spanish is better than when i got here... so there is hope! ha!
Right now we are really looking hard for people to teach. it seems those who we are teaching now are not really progressing. none of them will actually do any of the things we commit them to do. and we dont have any investigators. well we had one, but we receieved new requirements for baptism here because of the large less active percentage and it makes it so people have to really show they want it. so after that she dropped off the face of the earth. we cant ever find her at home anymore. so yeah, we are in the process of finding now.
one crazy part about this week though is the huge number of opportunities we have had to give blessing. i had to obtain more oil this week. The Priesthood is such an amazing thing. and really i have now realized more fully the awesomeness it is. we have the opportunity to act in the way Jesus would through his priesthood and bless the lives of others who need it. and that why it is so important to always be ready and worthy, because you never know when someone will ask for a blessing. several times we just passed by a house and the next thing we know they asked for a blessing. it is seriously the coolest thing to be able to help people.
oh and this sunday the sister missionaries set me up to sing in church.... so yeah that happened. it was really cool though. i sang come thou fount, in english, which is one of the favoirte songs down here ha. the coolest part is that the whole meeting was kind of loud and kids were going nuts, but by the time i hit the second verse the chapel was so quiet. it was really cool. afterward our pension asked if i could make a CD... haha like what. anyway, so that was this week! Love all You!
