well so yeah, i cant even believe this week. so remeber last week i still had no idea if i was staying or leaving salcedo. well after internet i went and called the zone leaders because, well i wanted to know and so that is what i did. weird. anyway, so i called them and im am not only staying in salcedo but ill going to be a DAD! im training here in salcedo! my sons name is elder Bustamante, and he is from Lima.
so on tuesday i went up to cucso for training and to pick him up. the drive was long, but cool, i got to sit by Elder Pierce the whole way up, who is also the first missionary i saw in the airport in Utah., and we had a good talk the whole way, for about 8 hours. so that was awesome. i got to see a tone of people from my group and that just made me super happy. not to mention that Cusco is super super super beautiful! ITS GREEN AND THERE ARE TREES! i like treees.
also in cusco was like the coolest miracle ever. so i was sad because i was going to be in cusco but i wasnt going to see Elder Powell...or so i thought. i went with Elder Jara to visit some of his converts and we walked into the house of his old pensions house and elder powell was siting on the couch! that was like the reunion of a life time right there. i love that guy.
also,i met hna wattles, who is elder heckers friend from vegas! what what, its such a small world.
anyway, we only had like 3 days to actually work our sector because of traveling and such, but we actually had some success. we have been getting to work and this guy,my son, is willing to work and wants to be obediant, which is soooo nice. im a fan of that. we contacted every single family we saw and now we have appointments with 5 of them this week, and that is so awesome. we had onecontact that was just superb. we saw this family,as we were walking back to the house to call member to find someone who could jion us for an appointment, and they had a volleyball net strung out over the road haha, wherer cars always pass. well we started to talk to them but thy wouldnt har it,they just wanted us to play, so i said we had 10 min. it was actually super fun for those ten min too. haha, but during that time, of which my side won...., we gained their trust, and we now have an appointment with this family and its super cool. i waspumped.
we also had a super awesome lesson with veranica, and she was feeling super bad about somethings that had happened... wont go into detail here but yeah anyway, she asked us if we could help her. well we had one of the most amazing, powerfullessons on the atonement and Jesus Christ that i have had on my mission. she started crying, i almost didnt as well as elder Bustamante. it was his second lesson in the mission. it was seriously the coolest thing ever, and she is the most awesome person in the world. she has a date to be baptized for the 21 as of right now. it was an awesome deal.
so yeah, thats this week in a nuts shell haha, i use suncreen on my face now, cause i dont like it when it burns. and the church is true!
And my Cousin Brianne (Bri counsinof my dreams, as she put into my phone back in the day) is awesome and super smart and going to school in England...so thats like the coolest thing ever.
