yeah so it was a solid week.
i mean it was pretty average but yet injoyable and we got stuff done.
so, Conference was great! i loved that! i have so many pages of notes and dont you fret, i wont be typing them all up, that would just be a joke. but i do want to share one thing for me that was really cool with conference this year.
well two things... first, i sat in the same room and in the same chair in the stake center for conference this year as last year! ha! ive been here for ever. everyone jokes that ive had my mission changed and its no longer Peru Cusco, and now its Puno, Salcedo. funny stuff.
but for real now. in Henry B Eyring's talk, i believe it was second. i felt the spirit super strong. and i didnt feel like it had anything to do with what he was saying, it was just a confirmation that what he was saying and that he is a man of God is true. the apostles and the prophet aremen called of God to direct His work in the world right now and if we dont head their words, we are literally ignoring the word of God as if it were from his own mouth, cause it came from his mouth orignally.
so now... i dont know if the full email actaully got sent cause my mom said she only got part of it from last week, which makes me sad. but anyway, i hope it did, cause Tatiana ( who we found last week) is awesome and so is her family! Tatiana has a date for this saturday and is already a member im prettysure. she has already made TONS of friends and is invovled in activities, is planning on the Temple 3 weeks after her baptism, is even thinking about a mission.... it is the coolest thing ever. we had been praying to find and be guided to those who are prepared and God lead us to her house.
also Veranica, who was baptized the 21. so we stoppped by her house one day this week and well she wasnt there. but her mom was. we had tried to teach her before but she doesnt want anythging from it. shes very content being a less-active (insert her religion here) and shes the one that said lessactive. but something reallycool has taken place. she has witnessed the gospel change the life of her daughter. she said "she gets up in the morning and goes running, she going to her reunions by herself, ive seen my daughter praying every night... and i can she that its something good." and so we have now began to teach hermomas well. she has lots of questions, but she has actually been reading the BOM and i know that if she will continue to do that and pray, she will learn and know of its truth for herself, no matter if we teach well or not, because that book is the word of God and it has the purpose to convince her that Jesus is the Christ and His church is in the earth.
so yeah, thats basically the cool partsof the week. we had a lot of walking that used up the other parts ha.
i miss strawberries and sour cream with brown sugar... no one knows what im talking about,so they cant relate, and i cant show them because we cant eat strawberries in this mission. its the saddest thing ever. if you have not tried it, i know it sounds gross. i was deeply offended when i discovered it was sour cream, but it is so good and you should take a leap of faith and partake. its really good.
