Hello everyone,
i hope is all going well for everyone else. life here is the bomb diggity. i am offically 19 now, so thats kinda cool i guess! ha, its actually a lot nicer telling people im 19 and not 18. everyone seemed to think 18 was super young.
anyway, so thats cool. we had a pretty cool lesson the other day. so people here often dont have much money, and so we were teaching a family home evening thing when their only light in their concrete box of a home, in the darkness of the night, went out. so what happened? we ended up have a super awesome lesson on the atonement by candle light. it was actually super cool. and there is nothing better at bringing the spirit than scriptures of the atonement. it was a super awesome lesson.
spanish is still not that great, i can understand more now but i still cant speak it as well. there are times when i know what they said but i have no idea how to respond in spanish. so that makes for a little frustration, but thats alright, i just laugh it off.
the best part about this week was that we finally got ot listen to conference! my word that was awesome. ive never got so much out of confernece before. i really learned so much. it was such a testimony builder to me to hear the words of the prophet and apostles. it was so cool. and i loved Uchtdorf's talk in priesthood, when he said "Lord, is it I?" it just hit me so hard. when we read the scriptures or listen to the words of modern prophets we really need to evaluate ourselves and ask, lord is it I? and then if it is us, we then need to make the change.
so yeah, confernece was seriously so cool.
oh yeah, the ruins last week. i sent some pics of them, but they were so nuts. i dont understand how people back then wiht 0 technology were able to moved such massive stones! that was a really cool thing to go see. we were able to go into one of the structures and climb on top of one. i dont know if that is actually correct to do, but i did it anyway and it was cool, therefore i approve, Ha!
