Well HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE
i cant believe its 2015, like what in the world happened?
for new years eve we were with a family in the ward for dinner and such, they are the best. this ward is the best really, Salcedo is awesome and i never want to leave it. anyway, here they make paper people that are life sized and then burn them for new years... so we did that ha, it was pretty cool i guess. i dont really understnad why, but whatever man, im cool with it.
but anyway, ive never had more food shoved into my body, when i didnt really want it, then this week. everywhere we went we were offered food, and you cant reject it here or it makes them feel super bad. i was so full i could hardly walk! it would be different if it was tocanos ha, that food is of the heavens and i could partake of such goodness for the eternities.
so yeah, new years had less fireworks than Christmas haah so that was funny.
oh and i cooked mango chicken tacos... sort of, the other day, and everyone thought i was crazy because i cooked the chicken with mangos and a bit of sugar, that is until they tasted it ha.
anyway, so this week i have learned that its been a long time since ive had decent sun exposure... due to the fact that after a few hours of service i had a blister on MY FOREARM... like what is that? that never happens ha!
yeah and this week we had an appointment with Yojana but she was sick, so instead we gave her a blessing, and for the first time in my mission, other than the MTC, i was the voice for the blessing. i tell you what, spanish makes it a little more difficult, just because you have to say things exactly correct, but after that part, it was really cool. i personally felt the spirit super strong and i didnt use any elaborate wording or anything, it was simple and not too long, but it was a really cool experiance, during the blessing i just knew what to say. Church is true.
anyway, this sunday we had 178 people in church! usually it is about 145. thats nuts! and we had almost every single person we are working with show up. this week, this sunday was just a straight up miracle! i couldnt even believe it!
anyway, it is week 6 now of the change, last week, and i really really hope i have at least one more change here in salcedo. im really afraid that ill have a change but i love this ward so much and we are working with som many people right now, i just cant imagine leaving salcedo right now, but anythings possible.
anyway, lifes good, and the mission is awesome, i love this place.
