so this week was awesome but also a little bit slow.
first, why it was awesome.
we had another baptism this week! Veranica was baptised and confrimed this week. and it was the first baptism for Elder Bustamante. he was super nervous. she ended up being baptised 2 times. good stuff. she is awesome.
after her baptism she had the opportunity, like all do, to share he testimony with those present. it was actually a really cool deal and i had no idea that she was going to say what she did.
so one sunday when she had come to church, she started to feel really sick. and sohe was sitting outside by herself. we asked the YW teacher what was up and she explained that she was feeling sick. so we went over and started talking to her and asking her if there was anything that we could do. well we ended up giving her a blessing and then we walked her home. and that was the end of it to our knowledge.
well in her testimony after he baptism she explained something really cool. she said that before this moment, she had actually (secretly) decided to not get baptized. but during the blessing when we placed our hands on her head, she felt something special and at that moment she knew that this was the true church because that feeling/power that she felt, she is sure was from God.
talk about a humbling experience. the priesthood is real, and so is the church that aspouses it. i don't know if that's a word or the correct word, but i like the sound of it.
so that was cool.
the reason why it was a slow week... well its because we dont have many more investigators! and are having trouble finding more at the moment. but we have a lot of recent converts to work with, so thats good. ha.
Laura and Yimsy are progressing a ton right now and i love those two. my goodness, i dont understand how these people become so important in your life but im a big fan of it. last pday we went to dinner with them. they called us and invited us. so thats awesome. they are currently reading the scriptures and are always watching new church movies and when we see them they just tell us all about the videos and what they've read. its like the coolesting thing ever.
also, thursday we made pizza in the bishops house with the young sinlge adults. i had the idea to make a huge pizza roll. basically you just put everything you want on a pizza and roll it up. pretty simple. BUT EVERYONE DOUBTED ME... and said it wouldnt work, wouldnt cook, that it was a waste of food and so forth. well i was determined. and i did it anyway. everyone was ,aking fun of me, except my comp, what a loyal champ. he even did it with me. and i just kept telling them to wait for the miracle that they are about to witness. well it turned out freaking fabulous! and then everyone wanted it ha! and it was super good! all the flavor was just concentrated into every bite and we (my comp and i) were then famous and everyone were taking pictures of us with our miracle pizza creation.
so yeah, thats this week and life is going great. sunscreen is important and I haven't had a sunburn in a while thanks to it. and yeah, have a great week.
